Infectious Disease

If your child is sick with an unusual fever and has not responded well to antibiotics, your primary care doctor may refer you to an infectious disease specialist. Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health Infectious Disease specialists are here to manage infections of all kinds, including fairly common infections affecting the skin, ears, respiratory tract, intestines, bones and joints, as well as more uncommon infections involving the central nervous system (brain and spine) and sepsis.
