Dr. Jamar Melton: Baton Rouge Clinic
Jamar Melton, M.D., received his doctoral degree from Louisiana State University, New Orleans, and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Dr. Melton was the Director of the Board for Woman's Hospital. Dr. Melton currently is in private practice at the Baton Rouge Clinic.
Dr. Christina Holmes: Baton Rouge Clinic
One of the newest members of the Baton Rouge Clinic family of physicians is Dr. Christina Holmes, a native of Baton Rouge and 2007 graduate of Louisiana State University. Dr. Holmes earned her M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport in 2011 and performed her Pediatric residency through Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, completing her program in 2014. She was named Most Outstanding Resident for the 2012-13 term and Primary Care Chief Resident in the 2013-14 term. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Sandra Franz: Pediatric Medical Center
Sandra A. Franz, MD, FAAP, was born in Alexandria, La. She earned her medical degree from the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed her residency at Hasbro Children's Hospital at Brown University in Rhode Island. Dr. Franz began her practice with Pediatric Medical Center in 2000. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Aimee Ferrell: Lake Peds at O'Donovan
Dr. Ferrell is a native of Baton Rouge, and graduated with Honors from LSU with a BS in Microbiology in 1995. She received her medical degree from LSU-HSC in New Orleans in 2000, where she achieved membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Ferrell he completed her residency in Pediatrics at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama in 2003. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and has maintained her certification with The American Board of Pediatrics throughout her time in practice.

Thiravat Choojitarom, MD, FAAP, is a graduate of Boston University, Boston, MA. He received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, where he also completed his residency. Dr. Choojitarom is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Amanda Talbot: Lake Peds at Zachary
Amanda L. Talbot, MD, FAAP, is a native of Houma Louisiana. She completed her medical school training from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. She then trained in pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Children’s Hospital of Alabama. She lives in the Zachary area with her husband and three children. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Courtney James: Lake Peds at Zachary
Dr. James received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in the Commonwealth of Dominica and her undergraduate degree from Dillard University in New Orleans. She completed her residency through the Our Lady of the Lake Pediatric Residency Program, where she served as Chief Resident and provided clinical leadership and mentoring for fellow residents. As part of her residency, she treated patients for the past year at the Pediatric Academic Clinic in Baton Rouge. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a member of the Board of Directors for Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana.

A native of Baton Rouge, LA, Dr. Smith graduated from University High School, Baton Rouge, LA, and received an undergraduate degree with honors from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA. He received the doctor of medicine degree from Louisiana State University Medical School, Shreveport, LA.
