Infectious Disease

If your child is sick with an unusual fever and has not responded well to antibiotics, your primary care doctor will refer you to an infectious disease specialist. While the name may sound serious, our specialists treat fairly common bacterial, viral, fungal or parasitic infections, strep throat and other respiratory infections in addition to more uncommon bone and joint infections.

Infectious disease specialists are also trained to treat meningitis, hepatitis and other autoimmune disorders.
