Mrs. Kendra has a kind spirit with a gentle touch. She is soft spoken, fantastic smile. She is wonderful. She is an asset to PICU. Her heart is open to all in need of a kind word along with a caring touch. She will always hold a place in my family's heart. She handled my daughter with complete and total care.
To - Kimberly, Pediatric Emergency Department
From - Patient
Kimberly made sure my IV didn't hurt. She told me what was going on and tried to make me as comfortable as possible; which she did. She was super nice and super friendly. I appreciate everything she did for me.

From - Patient's Family
Our visit here was frightening, but I couldn't have asked for a better group to help us through it. As a nurse it was great to observe, but as a mother it was basically flawless. I felt any concerns were listened to and handled very appropriately. In my opinion, you are all tops!!! I can't remember everyone's name, but I'll try - Dr. Petty, Dr. Brinck, Dr. Maxillo, Mariel, Christina, Helen, Brandy, Kendra, Carolyn, Dr. Soileau, Steph, Elizabeth, Brandy, Abby, Gina, Ida, Sharyn, Lisa and Dr. Kemmerly.
To - Patty, Emily, and Sarah - Pediatric Emergency Dept.
From - Patient's Family
We visited the pediatric ER with our 7 year old after a very scary bike accident. Our little boy was very hurt and very scared. The kindness and patience shown to him and our family meant so much. Thank you for doing more than "just your job" - providing medical care. Thank you for caring enough to make a very scary time a little less scary by taking the time to calm my son and carefully explain what was happening to us.
To - Shelli - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
From - Patient's Family
Shelli's positive attitude and cheerful spirit was so important and essential in keeping my chin and strength up so that I could be strong for my son. Her bedside manner and excellent professional skills made it obvious that being a PICU nurse was truly her calling. Following her footsteps, all of the PICU and all other OLOL staff were very helpful and allowed our stay to be very comfortable. Thank you for allowing your staff to be "human" first and then professionals. Thanks too for all the prayers.
To - Pediatric 2 Nurse
From - Patient's Family
She was very kind and considerate of my son during his stay after his tonsillectomy. She went out of her way to find foods that he could and would eat. She made our short stay very pleasant!
To - Shelli - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
From - Sharon - Childlife
It is comforting to see the love you pour out to your patients. Today Shelli is rocking and singing to one of her patients whose mother cannot be here, because she is sick herself. This patient is developmentally delayed and only knows his Mom is not here. Shelli made sure he was not upset. She knows her patients need more than medicine to heal.

No words can describe how thankful we are. It was because we have the OLOL Children's Hospital here close to us. Because you do never know what's going to happen.

We soon learned that he was in wonderful hands, all the specialists, especially the cardiac specialists, saved his life. I definitely think that the specialists at Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital saved Barret's life. Without them, he wouldn't be here today. Barret's Mom and Dad
To - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
From - Asiah's Mom
I didn't know how extensive the care she would receive was, I counted 64 people that took care of my daughter.
To - Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit
From - Cameron's Mom
We had no idea the services OLOL had to offer until Cameron was diagnosed with cancer. We have been so blessed to be able to receive expert care, here, right here in Baton Rouge at home.
