Awards and Distinctions
Gold Bear Designation - Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital Emergency Department has earned Gold Bear Designation from Louisiana Emergency Services for Children and the Emergency Medical Services for Children's Governor's Council - a part of the Department of Health and Hospitals Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. This is the first Gold Bear Designation in the state. Gold Bear Designation recognizes Emergency Departments dedicated to excellent care of sick or injured infants and children.
Magnet Designation - It's one of the highest levels of recognition a hospital can achieve. Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center has achieved Magnet designation for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses Credential Center's (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®. Only five percent of hospitals achieve Magnet status. Magnet status means that patients can expect a higher level of quality care when being treated at a Magnet facility.
Consumer Choice Award for the fifteenth consecutive year for the hospital with the highest overall quality and image in the Baton Rouge metropolitan area.
Gold Level Louisiana Hospital Quality Award, presented by eQHealth Solutions, formerly Louisiana Health Care Review, Inc. The Hospital Quality Award honors Louisiana hospitals that successfully implement quality initiatives directed toward improving patient care in the hospital setting.
