Volunteering your time can be a rewarding personal experience, and there are many opportunities in areas throughout the hospital for people willing to share their time and talents. Many of our volunteers have made life-long friends as a result of volunteering at Our Lady of the Lake and Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital.

OLOL volunteers show a sincere commitment to their work. Collectively, our volunteers provide more than 45,500 hours of service each year and are an essential part of the continued success of the hospital. We value their time and contributions, as our volunteers join with us in bringing a Spirit of Healing to those in need of care.

What kind of volunteer work is available? What can I do?
There are many ways that volunteers can help us at Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital. Examples include:
- Assist in the waiting room by reading or playing games with the children
- Working in the playroom
- Delivering toys and books to our patients
- Special holiday activities
- Fundraising Event Volunteers

Every holiday is an opportunity to bring familiarity to our child patients' lives while they are in the hospital. Help patients and families feel like they never missed Halloween, Christmas, or New Year's Eve while at our hospital.

Adult Volunteers
The mission of Our Lady of the Lake is best served by the active participation of the community. The hospital accepts and encourages the involvement of volunteers within all appropriate programs and activities. More about Adult Volunteers...
Junior Volunteers
Volunteers from ages 15 to 18 years may also serve in various capacities in the hospital through our Junior Volunteer program, allowing youths a rich, rewarding opportunity to serve their community.
Also, though the hospital's Summer Ambassador Program, youths age 15 to 17 have an opportunity to learn more about hospital operations and to participate in its daily activities. More about Junior Volunteers...
