How to Apply
Thank you for your interest in Our Lady of the Lake (OLOL) Pediatric Residency Program. We use the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS), which is available through the your medical school Dean's office.
Admission Requirements
Applicants to the OLOL Pediatric Residency Program must submit the following documentation:
- Three letters of recommendation from medical school faculty or practitioners with whom you have worked and who can comment on your personal and professional qualifications. One letter must come from a pediatrician who can directly address your potential to become a pediatrician.
- One page Personal Statement detailing your motivation to seek training as a Pediatrician and your reason for applying to OLOL.
- USMLE 1 and 2 dates and scores.
- Dean's letter.
- Transcript.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Photo.
- Resident Eligibility and Selection.
Our residency program selects applicants on the basis of their preparedness, ability, academic credentials, communication skills, and personal qualities such as motivation and integrity. Our program does not discriminate with regard to sex, age, religion, color, national origin, disability or veteran status.
All residents must meet and maintain the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners requirements for a permit/intern card for physicians in training or unrestricted medical licensure.
